Educational Solutions The Educational Solutions program is designed as a professional development. In addition to traditional lectures, our trainers use a combination of educational methods of instruction, including rotations, seminars, workshops, role-playing, and experiential learning to prepare our participants.
YVR Educational committee -- consisting of faculty from colleges, mental health, and social work, recently identified five goals for culturally and linguistically trained educators:
YVR Business Visions revised private and non-profit curricula to link educational techniques, the social and behavioral sciences, and cultural competency to well-designed practical experiences and service learning opportunities. YVR use the various courses and strategies described below to meet their educational goals. These will be updated as the school progress. Early childhood schools and staff will be assessed and skilled on their behavioral sciences, communication skills, cultural competency training, and instructive courses and strategies. The training extends to how to prepare professionally so that educators look at the training as an opportunity to hone educational skills through activities and hands on assignments that encourage reflection on their experiences to reinforce experiential lessons. Below are some of the various professional development courses and strategies currently taught: Communications Skills-CS2006:The teaching of communication skills is included as a part of two courses in the Behavioral Science course sequence.
